The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has acknowledged Nigeria’s worsening hardship and insecurity, attributing these challenges to leadership failure rather than the people’s resilience. In a Christmas message, the party urged Nigerians to hold on to hope and compassion, emphasizing the importance of unity and reflection during the festive season.
The ADC recognized the difficulties faced by millions of families, including rising food costs, persistent insecurity, and uncertainty about the nation’s future. However, the party stressed that Nigeria’s true strength lies in its people, describing citizens as resilient, compassionate, and committed to one another across faiths and communities.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, wished Nigerians a “merry and blessed Christmas,” while calling for prayers for victims of violence, particularly those affected by the Christmas Eve bombing at a mosque in Borno State. The ADC also urged Nigerians to appreciate the sacrifices of security personnel, health workers, and other essential service providers who remain on duty during the holidays
